These Workshops were developed with the VISUAL community in mind - providing an advanced, cost-effective and efficient way to support employee training and development needs. The NEW Workshop programs are expertly-developed and designed to provide quality through every facet of online education - modeling best practices in online learning.

Learning-by-doing is a proven concept by which knowledge retention
is achieved through hands-on training.

Workshop: MRP Essentails - Session I

During this session, the attendees will learn the concepts of how part maintenance parameters, warehouses, inventory statuses and engineering masters impact MRP. Setup and execution of MRP to generate planned orders and how to view the material planning window information

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should be able to set up part parameters, determine warehouses to use, MRP setup, and ablilty to identify planned orders and accurately view the material planning windows.

Workshop: MRP Essentails - Session II

During this session, the concepts learned in MRP Essentials Workshop Session 1 will be executed. The attendees will execute MRP, view the material planning window and available features, set up a customized query for shortages and convert planned orders to work orders and purchase orders. We will also cover creating a Master Production Schedule and learn how to export and import a forecast into the Material Planning window.

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should be able to set up and execute MRP, query for planned orders and execute conversion of planned orders. Understand how Master Production Scheduled parts work and how to import and export forecasts or Master Schedules.

Workshop: MRP & APS Essentails - Session I

Workshop: MRP & APS Essentails - Session II

During this session, the concepts learned in MRP & APS Essentials Workshop Session 1 will be executed. The attendees will execute MRP, view the Advanced material planning window and available features, set up a customized query for shortages, convert planned orders to work orders and purchase orders, and the concept of creating mass or consolidated orders. We will also cover creating a Customer Forecast and Master Production Schedule and learn how to export and import a forecast into the Advanced Material Planning window.

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should be able to set up and execute MRP, understand how to use the Advanced Planning tools to generate consolidated planned orders, and how to use the forecasting tools.

Workshop: Return Material Authorization (RMA)

The session will cover the process of creating Evaluation RMA’s and converting to a Credit RMA, a Replace RMA and a Repair RMA for Customer Orders that shipped from VISUAL.

Workshop: View Panels & Dashboards

The session will cover how to create basic View Panels & Dashboards and provide general guidelines on where these tools may be best deployed in your VISUAL database. During this session, the concepts learned in the View Panels & Dashboards Workshop Session will also stress the need for maintaining accurate data.

Workshop: Centura (QRP) Report Modifications

The session is 3.0 hours. During this session, the attendees will learn the requirements of how to work with Centura Report Builder to make modifications to existing forms and reports. It encompasses everything from software registration through Publishing Reports and includes examples of formulas and functions along with extended queries. Knowledge of SQL select statements is required for extended queries.

Workshop: SmartViews User Grid View Basic
Back to list of webinars
During this session, you will learn how to open a Grid View, setup the fields you want to see in the order you want to see them, and walk through all the options for sorting, grouping, and filtering the data. Finally you will learn how to save a layout so that you don’t have any setup to do the next time you want to analyze the data set. Your instructor will spend up to 30 minutes reviewing the training material, which will be made available to you at the end of the session. The remaining time will be dedicated to hands on practice within the SmartViews product.

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should be able to set up and save basic layouts in the Grid View of SmartViews.

Workshop: SmartViews User Advanced

During this session, you will learn how to create conditional formatted fields, and create your own fields using expression builder in the Grid View. You will also learn how to open a Pivot View, understand the basics of the pivot table concept, and learn how to setup different pivot table configurations. In addition, you will learn how to create a chart from a pivot table. Finally you will get a refresher on how to save a layout so that you don’t have any setup to do the next time you want to analyze the data set. Your instructor will spend up to 30 minutes reviewing the training material, which will be made available to you at the end of the session. The remaining time will be dedicated to hands on practice within the SmartViews product.

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should be able to set up and save advanced layouts in the Grid and Pivot Views of SmartViews.

Workshop: SmartViews Dashboard Creation

During this session, you will learn how to create a SmartViews dashboard, including setting up Data Connections, creating dashboard panels, configuring those panels including filtering and formatting options, to create a basic dashboard in SmartViews. The trainer will walk you through the creation of a dashboard that touches on all functional elements of the software. Your instructor will spend up to 30 minutes reviewing the training material, which will be made available to you at the end of the session. The remaining time will be dedicated to hands on practice within the SmartViews product.

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should be able to design SmartViews dashboards.

Workshop: Workflow

Workshop: IQM Non-Conformance Management & Corrective Action Request

During this session, you will learn how to set up nonconformance types; subjects and reasons. Attendees will enter and complete the nonconformance process followed by the creation of a linked corrective action. Your instructor will spend up to 30 minutes reviewing the training material, which will be made available to you at the end of the session. The remaining time will be dedicated to setting up the database for nonconformance and corrective action creation.

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should be able to set up and track nonconformances and corrective actions through the IQM module.

Workshop: IQM Incoming Inspection

During this session, you will learn how to set up the software for incoming inspection. Attendees will enter sample plans, product characteristics, product inspection plans and complete data collections. Your instructor will spend up to 30 minutes reviewing the training material, which will be made available to you at the end of the session. The remaining time will be dedicated to setting up the database for incoming inspection.

Workshop: Receiving Inspection

During this session, the attendees will learn how to set up purchased parts to require inspection, view the receiving inspection window, release, return or partially release/ return product. Your instructor will spend 30-40 minutes reviewing the training material. The remaining time will be dedicated to the execution of receipt of parts and disposition in the receiving inspection window.

Workshop: Managing Cost Standards

Workshop: Physical Inventory / Cycle Count

During this session, you will learn how to set up Physical Inventory Counts, kick-off a Physical Count, validate counts and close out the event. You will also learn how to establish ABC classifications, setup count frequencies, kick-off a Cycle Count process, validate counts and close out the event. Your instructor will spend 30-40 minutes reviewing training material which will be made available to you at the end of the session. The remaining time will be dedicated to executing the process discussed in a test database.

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should know the set up requirements for a Physical Inventory and Cycle Count Program and be able to completed this in a live database.

Workshop: Inter-Branch Transfers

During this session, the attendees will learn how to set up warehouses for interbranch transfers. Attendees will enter, ship and receive an interbranch transfer. The instructor will spend up to 30 minutes reviewing the training material, which will be made available to attendees at the end of the session. The remaining time will be dedicated to setting up the warehouses to allow for interbranch transfers.

Upon completion of this workshop attendees should be able to set up warehouses for interbranch transfers, enter an interbranch transfer, ship an interbranch transfer and receive an interbranch transfer in their live environment.

Workshop: Part Trace

The session will cover how to create a part trace profile, auto-numbering profile, and understanding the impact of the various profile settings. Participants will walk through the creation of part trace records, and review the part trace searching options within Visual. There will also be a discussion on how to deploy part trace profiles within Visual when they are not in use today.
